Car Rental can be expensive but thanks to Avis you could be driving around for just £1 a day! They are giving away a staggering 500 car rentals for just £1 per day - the catch is you have to find them - and you’re going to have to be quick.

Simply book your car between 4 and 25 August 2008 for rentals from 26th August 2008 until 25th October 2008 and, if you are lucky enough to find one of the £1 a day cars, you will see the £1 per day price in your reservation. However, make sure to reserve it there and then, because you may not see it again!

The £1 rate is inclusive of all mandatory taxes and charges!

The offer applies to economy and compact vehicles only (so no hoping for a luxury car for a pound) and Avis do say that rentals of 1, 2, 3 and 4 days can be found (so the offer isn’t just available to 7 and 14 day holiday rentals). Finally the offer is valid at participating locations across the following countries: UK, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
