The new slimline Playstation 3, called the PS3 Slim, promises to be a popular console and very much sought after this Christmas. It’s available from the start of September and can be pre-ordered from the likes of Game, Amazon, Play.com and Gamestation.

The battle for the best value PS3 Slim though is already underway with The Hut and Zavvi both offering a bundle deal for the console.

The bundle, which will cost just £249.73 (the same price as the basic console usually) includes a free Playstation 3 game, an HDMI cable and a Blu-ray movie. The games available are Call of Juarez, Quantum of Solace and Bionic Commando 2. The movies are Day Of The Dead and Basic Instinct.
