The £9 room Winter Sale started at Travelodge this morning at 6am with a glut of rooms on offer for just £9. This is the third or fourth time the budget hotel chain have run this offer and yet again customers have faced problems accessing the website. The rooms are available for stays over the summer (May, June, July and Auguts) and with UK holiday makers looking to have a cheaper holiday this year a cheap hotel room is an ideal way to beat the credit crunch.

If you can get on the site then you’ll be faced with limited locations and date options, so as long as you’re flexible you should be able to pick up a bargain. Most of the popular locations (City Centres) tend to go first, so as long as you’re prepared to travel a few extra miles you should be fine.

The offer also tends to not run over the weekends, but if you book in advance then it will usually only cost you £19 a day (it may well be higher for popular locations).

Do be patient – there are still £9 rooms available (although when they’ve gone they’ve gone, at least until the next offer)!
